Welcome to Christ Church Stannington, we are a community of people learning to love God and to love our neighbours and to be more Christlike in our lives. We hope that through our worship and witness, others too of all ages may find faith and grow in faith. Do join us. Covid safety The quieter 9am service is more suitable for those still anxious about Covid. We are now sharing a common cup at both 9am & 10.30am services. Refreshments are now available in church between the 9am and 10.30am services. Monday 27th February at 12:00 Stannington Foodbank at Stanwood Methodist. Just come if in need. Tuesday 28th February at 9.30am - BabyTime for parents and children aged from birth to 2 years in the church building. Tuesday 28th February at 10.30am - Natter a relaxed and friendly place for a chat and cuppa, mainly for over 60s but everyone is welcome at Hall Park Head Community Centre. Sunday 5th March at 9am - Join us in the church building for our service of Holy Communion using Common Worship led by Rev Nick Lattimer & Shelley Johnson, with Rev Nick Lattimer preaching. News Announcement of the appointment of Revd Nick Lattimer Revd Nick Lattimer, formerly Associate Vicar of St Matts Leeds, in the Diocese of Leeds, has now been licensed as Priest in charge of Christ Church Stannington and Associate Minister of St Thomas Crookes, and will lead the graft/partnership team from St Thomas’ to Christ Church. Nick introduces himself and his family here Do pray for Nick and Emily and for their family as they settle into their new home and community in Stannington, and for Nick as he takes up these new responsibilities in the Diocese of Sheffield.
