Church of St Peter, Maer - A Church Near You

Welcome to the Church of St Peter in Maer, Staffordshire. Maer church is a traditional country church in a very attractive setting opposite Maer Hall. It is generally open during daylight hours but if you want to be sure of access then contact one of the Church Wardens - Wendy Kinson or Dorothy Bennison. The church is associated with the parishes of Chapel/Hill Chorlton and Whitmore and there is a rotation of services between the churches. Every other Sunday at 9.30am we have a Holy Communion service with hymns and songs of an hour long, with a children's corner. Around 20 - 25 attending. On alternate Sundays there is a 9.30am Communion service at the sister church of Chapel Chorlton, a mile away. The parish of Maer: St Peter is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs.
