Welcome to the home page of St John the Baptist Church, “The Cathedral of the Peak” in the Derbyshire Parish of Tideswell. St John's Tideswell is open for private prayer from 10am - 4pm daily unless there is a funeral or wedding. All are welcome in this ancient space where people have prayed for centuries, take a slow walk round the church or simply sit-down in the seats indicated for as long as you find helpful. The Churches of Tideswell Parish welcome all, irrespective of age or ability, race or faith commitment, gender or sexuality.
